Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) defines the rules and guidelines for using Cotask (the “Service”) operated by Lowe Software. This policy is incorporated into and supplements our Terms of Service. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP.

2. Permitted Uses

The Service is designed for legitimate personal and professional productivity, including:

  • Creating and managing personal and team goals.
  • Organizing tasks, checklists, and workflows.
  • Using AI-assisted features to plan, summarize, and delegate work.
  • Collaborating with team members on shared workspaces.
  • Storing notes and documents related to your goals and tasks.

3. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
  • Harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate against any individual or group.
  • Distribute spam, phishing attempts, malware, or other harmful content.
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights, privacy, or other rights of third parties.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or connected systems.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, or crawlers) to access the Service without our written permission.
  • Circumvent any security measures, rate limits, or access controls implemented by the Service.
  • Impersonate another person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

4. AI-Specific Guidelines

When using the AI-powered features of the Service, you must adhere to the following additional guidelines:

  • No manipulation: Do not attempt to manipulate, jailbreak, or bypass the safety guardrails of AI features through prompt injection, adversarial inputs, or similar techniques.
  • No harmful content generation: Do not use AI features to generate content that is violent, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise harmful.
  • Responsible use: Review AI-generated suggestions before acting on them. AI outputs are provided as assistance and should not be treated as professional advice (legal, medical, financial, or otherwise).
  • No data extraction: Do not use AI features to extract, reconstruct, or infer information about other users or the underlying AI models.
  • Truthful representation: Do not present AI-generated content as your own original work in contexts where such attribution would be deceptive or violate the policies of other platforms or institutions.

5. Content Standards

All content you create, upload, or share through the Service must comply with these standards:

  • Content must not be illegal, obscene, or promote illegal activities.
  • Content must not contain personally identifiable information of others without their consent.
  • Content must not include confidential or proprietary information of third parties that you are not authorized to share.
  • Content must not contain viruses, corrupted data, or other harmful or disruptive files.

6. Security and System Integrity

You must not:

  • Intentionally overload, disrupt, or degrade the performance of the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without our explicit authorization.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the access of any other user to the Service.
  • Upload or transmit any code designed to interrupt, destroy, or limit the functionality of the Service.

7. Enforcement and Consequences

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action in response to violations of this AUP. Actions may include, at our sole discretion:

  • Issuing a warning to the account holder.
  • Temporarily suspending access to certain features.
  • Permanently terminating the account.
  • Removing or disabling access to content that violates this AUP.
  • Reporting illegal activity to law enforcement authorities.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking enforcement action, except where immediate action is necessary to protect the Service, its users, or comply with legal obligations.

8. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it immediately to admin@cotask.io. Include as much detail as possible, including the nature of the violation and any relevant evidence. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service at least thirty (30) days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
